Creating Connections introduces researchers to the science of science communication and the core principles of responsive listening and empathic communication. Participants begin to identify ways to build trust and engage others with their work.
A versatile program, Creating Connections is suitable for groups ranging from 20 to 200 people, and is available as a 1-hour webinar or 2-hour interactive session.
With this program, participants are able to:
- Understand how improvisational skills paired with communication strategy can create an effective science communication toolkit.
- Identify strategies to make messages and information memorable
- Recognize jargon and understand when to use it
- Use a 3-step process to develop a message
- Project an engaging presence
Technical Requirements
Participants need:
- Access to Zoom via laptop or desktop
computer
- Webcam and microphone enabled
