Indoor Air 2024 will continue the Indoor Air flagship conference series by ISIAQ with a multidisciplinary and holistic view on indoor air science. The world has seen unprecedented interest in improving indoor air quality due to the COVID-19 pandemic, increased wildfires, and other events. The importance of our indoor environment on human health and well-being has never been more recognized. Changes implemented in indoor spaces to reduce viral transmission have also had other benefits to our indoor spaces, and it is critical that we work globally to sustain these improvements. - Any members or nonmembers making payments by credit card will be charged a small fee (about 3% of the amount billed). This fee will apply to any credit card payments. The fee will offset the significant costs associated with credit card processing fees such that they will no longer be shared by the entire membership. To avoid this fee, opt to pay via check or wire transfer, which will not incur any fee.

Members:
- If you are a member, please enter your current ISIAQ Member number in the space provided. A member number is required to receive the member rate.
- You can find your ISIAQ member number by logging into the members-only section of the ISIAQ website and clicking on your profile.
- Membership status will be reviewed after each registration deadline.
- Any non-member who selects a member rate will receive an invoice for the difference plus a $50 processing fee.
Students:
- Students must upload enrollment documentation in an accredited college or university in the spring and/or summer of 2024 to get the student registration rate.
- Generally, universities and colleges will issue a letter upon request.
- Documentation will be uploaded on the last page of registration.
- These documents will be checked, and those with missing or insufficient documents will be asked via email to provide correct documentation.
- Anyone not providing that in a timely manner will receive an invoice for the difference to pay the full rate.
Student Conference Support Award:
Attending an ISIAQ conference (Indoor Air/Healthy Buildings) is a cornerstone activity in ongoing graduate school research. It allows you to present your progress, receive the latest updates on research by others, meet new contacts and get together with peers. This, of course, is mutually beneficial! Attending a conference does require a financial commitment which not always is available to students.
ISIAQ acknowledges the importance of having students at the conference and is deeply committed to involving students in its activities. We therefore offer awards to help students attend ISIAQ conferences. This award includes free registration for the conference and free accommodation during the conference. For Indoor Air conferences a maximum of five awards will be made available. For the regional Healthy Building conferences, three awards are available.

Nonmembers and In-Person Affiliate Attendees:
- As part of your registration, you are eligible to receive a complimentary one-year membership in ISIAQ.
- To accept this membership, you must read and agree to the ISIAQ code of ethics and make the appropriate selection during registration.
Affiliate Members:
- An Affiliate ISIAQ Membership annual rate of $30 is available to persons who reside in developing nations, https://isiaq.org/developing_countries.php.
- By special arrangement with ISIAQ, we offer Affiliate Members a discount rate on the Remote Track only to support additional access for underrepresented groups.
- To receive this discount, the Affiliate Membership must be completed through the ISIAQ website and be active through July 11, 2024, verified by uploading a screenshot of the ISIAQ membership page at the end of registration. To see your membership page, log into the ISIAQ website as a member, go to “Billing Info,” and then select “Membership Status/Billing Info.”
- Affiliate Member status will be checked against the ISIAQ membership list. Anyone who selects that rate without a valid Affiliate Membership will be invoiced the additional amount for a full-price registration plus a processing fee of $50.

Are there credit card fees? How do I avoid them?

How do I book a conference hotel?
- Staying at a conference hotel has many benefits, including reduced rates, short commutes to events, increased connectivity with colleagues, additional support for the conference, and an uncomplicated booking process. After registration, you will have access to hotel discount codes to book your hotel. Thanks for booking a conference hotel!
What if I need to change my registration type or need to cancel?
- Prior to May 1, 2024, in-person registrations may be converted to Remote Track only registration at the current rate minus a $50 administrative fee and you will be refunded the difference. The administrative fee will be waived in cases where a Visa request has been denied if the participant shares documentation with the planning committee. Email an explanation and documentation to indoorair2024@gmail.com.
- Between May 1 and June 30, 2024, in-person registrations may be converted to Remote Track only registration at the current rate minus a $150 administrative fee and you will be refunded the difference. The administrative fee can be waived if the participant provides documentation of a positive COVID-19 test or other illness within 10 days of the start of the conference. Email an explanation and documentation to indoorair2024@gmail.com.
- Remote Track only registrations can be converted to In-Person registrations for the difference between paid price and current price (no administrative fee) until July 7, 2024.
- Cancellations made prior to February 29, 2024 will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made between March 1, 2024 and May 30, 2024 can receive a 50% refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made between June 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024 can receive a 25% refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
- As of July 1, 2024, no refunds may be made, although registration types can still be converted until July 7, 2024.
- If you convert from In-Person to Remote Track only registration and have an oral or poster presentation scheduled during the conference, you can either request that another in-person colleague present in your place or it will be converted to a virtual poster presentation in the Remote Track. Remote Track only attendees are unable to present during normal conference hours. Please notify us of any changes to the presenter and/or schedule as soon as possible at indoorair2024@gmail.com.
Can I bring a guest?
- Yes! Guests are significant others and/or other family members that may be traveling with you but are not otherwise attending the conference. Guests will not get entry to technical sessions (but it’s ok if they come to see just your presentation!). We do ask that you help cover their food costs if they wish to attend events. You can add your guests during the registration process and they can add the events such as the Luau they wish to attend a la carte.
I need to switch to a Remote Track registration. Can I still present?
- You can still present, but the format of the presentation may need to change. If you convert from In-Person to Remote Track only registration and have an oral or poster presentation scheduled during the conference, you can either request that another in-person colleague present in your place or it will be converted to a virtual poster presentation in the Remote Track. Remote Track only attendees are unable to present during normal conference hours. Please notify us of any changes to the presenter and/or schedule as soon as possible at indoorair2024@gmail.com.
How do I get a Visa letter?

- Per the membership agreement, Affiliate Members do not receive a discount on In-Person attendance, click here for more info. However, In-Person Affiliate attendees will be eligible for a complimentary standard ISIAQ membership for one year.
